Armando Dominguez: bigcitysmalltown Mayoral Questionnaire

1. What qualifications support your bid for the job as mayor of San Antonio, and how are you reaching registered voters with a history of participating in local elections? (Please cite campaign fundraising, media buys, community events, mailers, etc.)

Hi i want to say thank you for your time as well for the love that you have for the city of San Antonio. As a re runner San Antonio native. I have lived here all my life in the greater city attended local college and continue to serve our community. I was born in the south side of San Antonio Go! Indians Go!. City mayor offers me that opportunity to help be a leader first not only in our community but in America putting the community first is our foundation for a stronger thriving city bridging the gab between what it means to serve our community first. Attending meetings such as Edward Aquifer and getting in depth with local small business in what it pertains there needs to be a successful. 2. What endorsements, if any, have you garnered?

Putting God first.

3. What programs and priorities initiated under Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s four terms in office would you continue and/or change? Which ones would you discontinue?

I bring ideas that can help our city be a better place to live. Ready to work helps San Antonians establish self reliance among our nation showing how we can built our community by giving more options. And change the narrative on what we can make possible.

4. What are your priorities for the city’s 2027 bond, which will be determined in 2026 by the new mayor and city council members?

Priority 1 talk among my constituents members on pre developments on how can we put annual incomes in or low incomes rule areas that can help support creating sustainability.

5. Do you support the city’s proposed public-private investments in Project Marvel, or do you oppose them? If you support Project Marvel, what do you think is a fair private/public split on building a new Spurs arena in Hemisfair?

As we no the Alamodome tax funded by the city was a mistake causing slow economic growth. The working keep on working. Theres no sustainability with no growth together. Project Marvel shouldn't come out of our pockets in any matter. Due to private investors we as a community lose to pocket lining lets built collectively rather than individually. Were private investors can just simply leave. Taking our city dollars and investing some were else.

6. What are your economic development and job growth strategies? Since the pandemic, more than 150 corporations have moved their headquarters to Texas, yet San Antonio has not shared significantly in convincing those companies to come here. How can we change that?

By being innovative i would like to help create longterm economic sustainability growth with our city. Introduce new ideas originally and creative thinking that can make an impact on our community. Project River Walk #2 makes it possible to support ideas that work. By using the Historic National Park Mission San Juan a tourist attraction witch already exists will bring tourist down to river walk#2. Let me be the back bone of this Foundation in putting money back in your pockets in low income areas. In order to attract companies we need more annual income to support that. Lets take a glimpse in to our future with a better foundation.

7. San Antonians worry that as the city grows, it could lose its unique cultural identity, much as Austin has changed due to rising housing and living costs. What will you do to grow the city’s job base while making sure what makes San Antonio special is not lost?

My goal is putting river walk #2 on a ballot offers a reason for tourist to fall in love with our city to walk ride, bike towards Mission San Juan with a proclaimed National Park i would love to vote with my constituents and place it on a ballot.

8. San Antonio has faced record heat, extreme drought conditions, and episodes like Winter Storm Uri, yet city leaders have largely failed to implement the 2019 Climate Action & Adaptation Plan. Federal and state political leaders largely ignore climate change and are rapidly defunding renewable energy projects while subsidizing the oil and gas industry. What is your position on this critical issue?

Water supply and water quality as well drainage are critical issues. Am convince if we put some investment as far as what areas can city council can collaborate with state and county elected officials to provide new services can help elevate problems. An other solution is offering city even rates where for Bexar county residents moving to new residency under Bexar county shouldn't have to pay higher rates on old county bills. Working more with apartment solar energy mandates that acquire to built apartment and housing on site generators.

9. San Antonio is experiencing worsening traffic congestion and air quality, with rising cases of asthma and other respiratory ailments. How do you plan to improve mobility in the city while balancing affordability and sustainability? What role should alternative transportation options play?

My goal is to lower admissions and traffic congestion on running eco friendly system investing in new areas were we are growing economically. Siting down with our public transportation on running programs on running a 24 hour base link transportation for businesses employees to save and encourage non driving during business days.

10. Describe one new idea you have for accelerating the city’s trajectory as a destination for visitors, conventions, and people moving here for opportunities.

By using the Historic National Park Mission San Juan, a tourist attraction witch already exists will bring people down to Project River Walk #2. With a eco friendly via link will redirect traffic to Project River Walk #2. The plan will be fun, eating, learning, playing, shopping will be our concept with a beautiful golf course on top and A&M down the road and much more. Our flooding challenge's can be meet with a concept already located at Roosevelt Park that was founded by Fort Sam Houston Army i hope on pitching and moving this concept asap with the idea every one can agree for the greater good of San Antonio. If we all can come together the capabilities can be profound. Thank you and God bless.
